It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season 8 Photos

Tv Season Info

The Paddy's Pub gang return for an eighth series of ill-conceived misadventures featuring a crashed wedding, a painting by Adolf Hitler and a makeshift legal trial over spilled milk. Dennis (Glenn Howerton) and his sister Dee (Kaitlin Olson) first must decide the fate of their ailing grandfather, who happens to be a former Nazi. Later, their father Frank (Danny DeVito) masterminds a get-rich-quick scheme involving the city's trash, and Mac (Rob McElhenney) helps Charlie (Charlie Day) plan a sham fund-raiser. The gang also uncharacteristically seek an outside opinion during a visit to a therapist's office, but, as expected, more problems than solutions arise.

Seven seasons later, Day, Howerton, and McElhenney aren't bothering with point A.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has become the Energizer Bunny of cable TV sitcoms, a hyperactive, enduring burst of awkward hilarity and imprudently cooked-up schemes.

Though this may not be a peak season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, there's been some great episodes this year, even if the batting average is lower.

In Season 8 of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the Gang showed that they still have plenty of life left.

May 23, 2018 | Full Review…

Don't get hung up on the (lack of) plot: Sunny is all about the severely messed-up relationships between these horrible, but hilarious people.

It's been 10 long months since we last saw The Gang and, man, they are a sight for sore eyes.

Oct 11, 2012 | Rating: 4/5 | Full Review…

Yes, Sunny is just as dark and crazy as ever. I just wish it was a little more focused in its wit and a little less familiar.

Oct 11, 2012 | Rating: 3.5/5 | Full Review…

There's still comedy to be mined from Dennis and Dee misremembering their clearly effed-up formative years.

Oct 11, 2012 | Rating: 7.8/10 | Full Review…

Eight seasons in, it still feels great to slum it with this gang.

This season is back up there with the 3-6 golden period. The Gang Dines Out is up there with my favourite episodes.

Many of Sunny’s best episodes are in this season.
  • May 02, 2015
good season no one episode stood out to me though.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia pours up even more delectably decadent misadventures for its lovable characters to gulp down in an eighth season that will make viewers cringe as often as they guffaw.
