Nick Hilton Independent (UK) In the end, the show prioritises taste over bite. But that’s no bad thing. Rated: 4/5 Jan 6, 2024 Full Review Benji Wilson Daily Telegraph (UK) Broadly speaking, Julia series two – like great French cuisine – gets the balance right. Rated: 4/5 Jan 4, 2024 Full Review Rebecca Nicholson Guardian Season two needs more Julia, and it takes its time to work on the winning recipe, but it is such a warm pleasure that it’s easy to simply sink in to its richness, pastry fish and all. Rated: 4/5 Jan 4, 2024 Full Review Robert W. Butler Butler's Cinema Scene The single best performance I’ve seen in recent months belongs to Brit actress Sarah Lancashire, who so fully embodies famed TV chef Julia Child that it’s less acting than alchemy. Dec 28, 2023 Full Review Laura Fernández El Pais (Spain) The tandem Sarah Lancashire forms with David Hyde Pierce -- her husband, Paul Child -- serves to build what is probably the healthiest relationship that has ever occurred in a television fiction based on something real. [Full review in Spanish] Dec 28, 2023 Full Review Leila Latif The Daily Beast Our love affair with the chef who helped make food a love language continues starting Nov. 16, as Julia, the Max series starring Sarah Lancashire as Child, returns for a delightful second season. helena g Its safe to say this. I will advice you take proper research about the platform you chose to invest in. I was a victim to some crypto sc@m and I l0 st all my coin am glad I was able to seek h3lp Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/06/24 Full Review Joe C The characters had outworn their welcome by season 2. Smug with a tone that will appeal to elitists, or those wishing to be, or wanting to luxuriate in the sterile nostalgia of an America that only existed on TV. And the behind-the-scenes, inner workings of a public TV station are so dumb-downed that they border on fantasy. If that environment interests you, try the Brit series The Hour. It features better written characters whose parts aren't smothered by the star's bloated presence. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/02/24 Full Review DiCat F Sorry but switched off after episode 3 as found myself falling asleep. Was monotonous and boring. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/04/24 Full Review E B Of course it's cancelled after two seasons. It was too good for us. I don't regret my time investment. I thoroughly enjoyed the two meagre seasons & delighted in the strong storytelling, lush sets, cast & extraordinary performances all of which leave at indelible memory of rich satisfaction- which no streaming service can erase when they casually write off quality shows. The production won anyway. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/24 Full Review Katie P Utterly brilliant! I love this show so much. Is the literal definition of a feel good show. I want to cook, throw dinner parties, and savor life every time I watch it. It's perfection and got even better in season 2. It's a maddening shame that HBO canceled it. Yes, it's worth the watch even though there are only 2 seasons. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/24 Full Review Rose R Sarah Lancashire shines as Julia. Great cast & performances, great writing, informative as well as entertaining. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/24 Full Review Read all reviews
