A quarter-life crisis causes a young Chinese-American woman, Nicky Shen, to drop out of college and go on a life-changing journey to an isolated monastery in China. But when she returns to San Francisco, she finds her hometown is overrun with crime and corruption, and her own parents are at the mercy of a powerful triad. Nicky relies on her tech-savvy sister, pre-med brother, ex-boyfriend and a new love interest, as well as her martial arts skills and Shaolin values, to protect her community and bring criminals to justice -- all while searching for the ruthless assassin who killed her Shaolin mentor and is now targeting her.

The charismatic cast -- particularly Olivia Liang and Shannon Dang -- shines through some cheesy dialogue and keeps the show grounded through all the supernatural elements and sometimes convoluted exposition. Go to Full Review

See more andrei d 07/04/2022 Still fun, a little too sentimental See more 06/17/2022 I love this show, it's Intense, with great moves, and a great storyline. I was sad about Zhilan Kicking ass in the other Rhealm and possibly stuck there and HENRY going off to do his thing. I love this show. I want them back. We eat Dumplings on Wednesday nights and watch the show. fun. We are not Chinese Americans but this shows us that we may look different and have different customs; really we are all the same. I hope there is a season 3. Well done Yall - Joy from Fort worth, Texas. See more 06/16/2022 Absolutely enjoyed it. The story telling, the characters, the history were all amazing this season. The last two episodes were a rollercoaster. I love CW shows but over the past few years they haven't held my attention or kept me on the edge of my seat and wanting to know more like Kung Fu has. This show feels fresh and new and I was happy to binge watch all of season one just to catch up. See more 05/13/2022 The first season was alright but the 2nd season is insufferable. It's the same premise done over and over again through every episodes. I stopped watching it after the 4/5th. See more 04/27/2022 It's so boring, it just looks like a script meant for teens and dating. The big disappointment is that I was looking forward to this series because I absolutely loved the old kung fu. I love the spirituality and the protagonist of being someone you could admire. I love the philosophical lessons. I don't know why they would have sold out this name franchise to put out this kind of foolishness but you really disappointed so many people. You could have modernized it with a woman in the position but no you went with a silly the opposite of a philosophical drama just to exploit the name. See more Read all reviews
