A story that started as one of female empowerment ends with a super sexist plot, where the man who hurt her so much in life didn't pay for his karma. On the contrary, he gets everything Yeimy had: her songs, her company, and the chance to see her children grow up. Yeimy disappeared for half a season, and when she returns, she's sick, submissive, without the strength that characterized her. All of Charly's redemption was thrown away. He fought so hard in the second season for Yeimy's forgiveness, and now, barely dead, he shows interest in another girl the same age as his eldest daughter, who is also his subordinate. That's not normal. Sky was given too much screen time in a story that isn't hers, making her a nuisance to watch. And to top it all off, they kill off the heart of this series with 25 episodes left. The creators of the show clearly had a huge bone to pick with the lead actress with how horribly they written her this season. Kidnapping, torture, death and betrayal with very little focus compared to Sky...Which they desperately seemed to want the audience to love instead of Yeimy. Whatever character development Charly had has been thrown out the window..Irma and Eric were also very badly written this season..They became unlikable. The new music was great, But it's hard to enjoy when the show is so terribly written! Earlier seasons were driven by Charly’s compelling transformation from antagonist to a man seeking redemption through his connection with Yeimy. This emotional arc formed the core of the series. Season 3, however, undermines that foundation. Charly’s character feels inconsistent, shifting abruptly from emotional dependence on Yeimy to a new romantic interest, and then accepting her death far too quickly. The progression lacks depth and credibility. More critically, the decision to reintroduce hope for a reunion—only to remove it through Yeimy’s death—feels dramatically ineffective. Rather than delivering closure, it creates emotional dissonance and diminishes prior investment. I stopped watching after Yeimy’s death, as it marked a departure from the storytelling strengths that once defined the series. See more Ted F @RT76620351 Mar 23 This season had me hooked. I liked how things went with the kidnapping plot and the fate of the villains. However, I felt like Yeimy’s story took a backseat to what was happening with Sky. Yeimy was kidnapped and hardly in the first half of the season, and when she returned, they killed her off. This was the biggest disappointment for me. It felt to me like Sky was replacing her as the main character. I also expected Sky to end up with Charly in the end, but I was glad to see that didn’t happen. See more Read all reviews
