08/11/2021 This is one of the best animated shows I've ever watched. Great fight scenes and a very intersiting back story accompanied by some good classical music makes for a must watch anime. See more 03/05/2020 Great Show, Great Story Arc. I cannot wait for Season 2! More Please! See more 01/23/2020 This anime grabbed my attention and never let go. I binged it in 2 days. It is a sci-fi sports anime in a post war world, The animation is a mix of 3d and 2d which may bother some purists. I think it is worth the watch. See more 12/08/2019 An interesting premise of a world filled with industry and leisure and the practice of augmented steam powered boxing is what makes this show first appeal to viewers. The story is about a great conflict affecting global stability with a hereto shrouded scandal involving the final battle and its citizens disapearance. You think it is all about fighting in the ring and making ends meet, but it's more than that as the show slowly unravels the peculiar aspects of the steam that can be controlled by human interaction and a corporation pulling the strings to promote the protagonists winning streak and fame. Through alliances forged by the battles of the ring and the protagonists family the unexpecteed true conflict arises and dread of the true scope of the sports inhumane practices make the viewer question the lengths humans go for performance and pleasure. An uninspired CGI design and recycling of certain scenes in the show can drain your patience and wonder of the worlds setting... However the true attention to detail is in the bouts and voice work so viewers can enjoy some parts of the rough production value. Solid story, great build up and fascinating intricacies of the metalboxing sport make it worth a quick watch while waiting for the summer blockbusters. See more 12/06/2019 Meh. The show gives you no reason to care about the main character. There is no struggle, except the standard struggle to be better, which I mean, cool story bro but remind me why I should watch or think this is interesting? It's the anime equivalent of reading an autobiography of a cyborg boxer, halfway through you'll probably go watch something more interesting. I made it 3 episodes and I haven't decided if I regret wasting that much time on it. Solid Meh. See more 12/03/2019 Awesome, great content from netflix. Focusing on martial arts based content is great, after baki and kengan ashura this is great series to watch. See more Read all reviews
