After serving time (12 years!) for a crime he didn't commit, Detective Charlie Crews returns to his job at the LAPD but gets a cool reception from his new partner, Detective Dani Reese, and their tough boss. Constance is the attorney who finally managed to get Charlie sprung from prison after DNA evidence exonerated him of murder. Charlie's former cell mate, Ted Earley (once the CEO of a powerful company), is now Charlie's housemate and financial adviser. Charlie's post-prison police work incorporates some quirks he acquired while serving time -- a Zen philosophy and a fixation with fresh fruit.

I like Damian Lewis as an actor. I also think that the show was quirky enough to be a bit different and had a good ensemble cast Go to Full Review

The quirks of character that Charlie Crews started out with have now stagnated into something just a little too perky and self-satisfied. Go to Full Review

In general, we like his character, and Reese's. They have a new boss named Kevin Tidwell, who doesn't start off all good or all bad. Neither does the show. But if it can maintain this level of quality, it's got a shot. Go to Full Review

I'm just happy they gave us a satisfying ending to this enjoyable series, regardless of some of the rushed storytelling in the final episode. Go to Full Review

Jo P @JoParkerBear Oct 1 Another show canceled too soon. In this case, it was canceled to make room for Jay Leno at 9 o’clock? Supremely annoying, especially considering the fact that no one wanted to see Jay Leno at 9 o’clock. No one. See more Read all reviews
