It's absolutely a must watch. It really builds up incrementally. Blinding, I loved it.

Jul 15, 2020 | Full Review…

Line of Duty really leans into the four seasons that came before it and more connections than ever will be made. If you're thinking those connections are corrupt, yes, that's a good start.

May 13, 2019 | Full Review…

It's not good for you, but it will definitely give you a buzz.

May 13, 2019 | Full Review…

Line of Duty is probably a bit freer than an American version might be to explore other, more Byzantine abuses of police power. It does this in thrilling fashion, season to season, episode to episode, and even scene by scene.

Aug 11, 2020 | Full Review…

Some might call this a formula but it's better recognised as a well-tuned sense of dramatic structure and dynamics.

May 18, 2020 | Full Review…

The show can be totally over-the-top, but it's also compellingly watchable and often thrilling, a masterpiece of misdirection that keeps you guessing.

May 7, 2020 | Full Review…

It may demand a lot of viewers and take risks, but that's what all great dramas should do.

Dec 11, 2019 | Full Review…

The cast is full of solid acting talent, yet the writing leaves many of them discussing the gravest of matters as though they're reading the contents on the back of a shampoo sachet.

Dec 11, 2019 | Rating: 2/5 | Full Review…

Britain's top-rated show of 2019 beats American procedurals hands down, and you don't need to watch Seasons 1 to 4 (available on Acorn and Hulu) to plunge right into its tense, zigzagging, paranoid story.

Jun 19, 2019 | Full Review…

Season five started out promising, peaked midway and came down to the earth with a bang at the end. A disappointing end to a season with such remarkable characters - Graham's John Corbett and Sandall's Lisa McQueen were highlights.

May 22, 2019 | Full Review…

Season five has been a joyous ride and held the audience captive for the past six weeks with every watercooler conversation across Britain.

May 13, 2019 | Full Review…

With epic interrogation scenes, surprise betrayals, grisly murders, untold secrets, massive twists... well, it's just good to be back.

Brilliant drama. Stephen Graham knocked it out of the park! Intense and captivating.

My wife and I just finished watching all 5 seasons. We loved it.Had to be vigilant or you could miss something

The writing and acting are first rate. The show doesn't spoon feed the audience the clues to the inquiry. You have to Pay Attention! There is a real sense of danger for the characters. There is some gun play, but small by American standards. The drama is in the unraveling of the mystery not the shoot outs.

A good continuation of the mystery for line of duty fans, but the ending doesn't leave you satisfied.
  • Mar 11, 2020
Excellent season, 'Line of Duty' is a very consistent show. Martin Compston, Adrian Dunbar and Vicky McClure continue to impress, while Stephen Graham is a top notch addition for S5.
