Made in Korea exists in an exciting historical milieu with theatrically amoral characters, yet at this early stage, its message remains unclear Go to Full Review

"Made in Korea" doesn’t flinch in its portrayal of corruption by both the Korean government and its strongest ally, the U.S. military. Director Woo Min-ho presents a Korea where there are no heroes, but rather desperate survivors caught in the crosshairs. Go to Full Review

TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Jan 28 Watching the Korean series Made in Korea was a mixed experience. I found it hard to stay engaged, as many scenes dragged on with long dialogue and little action, making the pacing feel slow and uneven. The screenplay relies heavily on overlapping back-and-forth exchanges that sometimes weakened the story rather than advancing it, leaving the narrative feeling scattered. While the show is clearly written with cultural authenticity in mind, it occasionally limits accessibility for a wider audience. The director does well with the material, and the cast delivers solid performances, but strong acting can’t fully overcome the script’s flaws. Overall, Made in Korea is not terrible, but it didn’t capture my attention fully, and I can’t wholeheartedly recommend it. See more Read all reviews
