arvind s @Arvind100 05/11/2023 Masameer County is the brainchild of animator & creator, Malik Nejer & his animation studio Myrkott. And let me start out by saying this; it is one of the entertaining animated shows that I have ever watched. Due to immense popularity of Nejer's Masameer episodes, in 2020, he released a full length feature film by the same name. With a deal signed with Netflix, Masameer was renamed Masameer County and as of today we have two seasons on the platform. In Malik's words; Masameer County is a reflection of his philosophy. He wanted to show his nation, Saudi Arabia as people saw it in today's day and age; a country that is changing. The show mirrors the conversations that people actually have on a day to day basis with someone they know. Masameer is a reflection of all this and that is what makes this an excellent, unfiltered watch. Masameer County is currently two seasons long, consisting of 14 episodes in total. Episodes range from 11 to 38 mins with some featuring standalone stories and others having some connective tissue like characters or storyline. The themes cover a lot of topics that would have been considered taboo a few years back. Though most episodes have an element of humour, there are a few that are serious. Masameer County is a masterpiece & one of my favourite animated shows ever made.
