The new Netflix series honors its predecessor in ways notable and sly, while also humanizing its larger-than-life heroes and villains. Kids of the '80s, rejoice. Go to Full Review

Indeed, except perhaps for those heavily steeped in "Masters" lore, the action grinds along telling a serialized story that's billed a "Part I." Go to Full Review

A show that feels both lovingly consistent with the source and fresh at the same time. Go to Full Review

This is a beloved property which has now entered the 21st century. It's fine that things are evolving... changing, and it's good that it’s happening for the better. If they made this show, and it was towing the same line, who would want to watch it? Go to Full Review

Smith likes to joke he’d never be allowed to direct a Marvel film, but his handling of the material suggests he wouldn’t be the worst choice for the job, either. Go to Full Review

Were still not sure how to feel about Revelation overall, though it did impress us with its story and leave us wanting more. It also made us wonder when we can expect Care Bears Battle Meth Addition and Rainbow Brite: Pandemic in Rainbowland. Go to Full Review

Gordon M Jul 2 How bad is it? The creator had to lie and lie and lie about its contents before it came out because he knew telling the truth would drive the fans away. The 80s movie was called "Masters of the Universe" because of rights issues, not because it didn't feature He-Man. Maybe Kevin Smith got confused on how this works. It's not something anyone wanted. I don't know why it exists. Don't waste your time. See more André A 10/28/2024 I was born in 1982 and "He-Man and The Masters of the Universe" was the first ever tv show i've ever watched. Some years ago i've tried to rewatched it, but was almost unbearable for me: nothing make any sense, the rotoscope animation was horrible and everything sound and looked cheap. Somehow this new show revitalized a lot of what my childhood MEMORIES felt like. Sure it has some "modern elements" (like an emphasis on female characters) that some manchild may find "irritating", but i absolutely loved it: all the characters matter, all the characters have backstories, we get an actual LORE and there's a lot of worldbuilding: a treat for any "Masters of the Universe" fan. Great show, epic soundtrack, superb voice acting and a compelling larger than life story (which was everything the original lacked): they actually managed to turn something that was nothing more than a toy comercial, unto something with depth. One word: EPIC. See more César S 10/28/2024 This is not what I was expecting from MOTU. See more Steven L 02/01/2024 Think of everything you knew and loved about MOTU from the 80's, then twist it around and make it bad. That is exactly what Smith and his team have done to this beloved franchise. Don't waste your time or nostalgia on this rotten show. See more Mark S 02/01/2024 I loved this show. I don't care about all the complaints and crying online. It was good! The only complaint I have is them killing off so many characters.
