Characters lack development and interesting relationships See more André A 10/28/2024 I was born in 1982 and "He-Man and The Masters of the Universe" was the first ever tv show i've ever watched. Some years ago i've tried to rewatched it, but was almost unbearable for me: nothing make any sense, the rotoscope animation was horrible and everything sound and looked cheap. Somehow this new show revitalized a lot of what my childhood MEMORIES felt like. Sure it has some "modern elements" (like an emphasis on female characters) that some manchild may find "irritating", but i absolutely loved it: all the characters matter, all the characters have backstories, we get an actual LORE and there's a lot of worldbuilding: a treat for any "Masters of the Universe" fan. Great show, epic soundtrack, superb voice acting and a compelling larger than life story (which was everything the original lacked): they actually managed to turn something that was nothing more than a toy comercial, unto something with depth. See more Mike P 10/21/2024 SPOILERS...Terrific Kevin Smith-helmed Masters of the Universe reboot...With an amazing cocktail of impressive 3-D computer animation, and ornate rotoscoping and faux anime; which looks very fresh and original; in it's retelling of the Prince Adam from Eternia story...There's great characterizations and storytelling here; and even the music is excellent too! I mean even Orco, the Jar Jar Binks of this franchise, really works and isn't annoying in this version! And THAT'S impressive! I especially love a demonic She-Ra showing up at the ending! Excellent! I also watched a He-Man and Masters of the Universe 2002X. And it's an awesome Canon. However, in Masters of the Universe revelation, He-Man is downgraded. He is no longer the main character of Masters of the Universe. There's also a lot of things that don't match with the established Canon .Of course if you never watched He-Man or read the comic books,there's a 70% of possibilities you will like this new show.
