Despite the delightful chemistry between Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence, Melissa & Joey doesn't live up to its expectations.

Because this is on ABC Family, it comes with a big helping of cheesy jokes, but Hart and Lawrence share a buoyant, delightful chemistry. Go to Full Review

Melissa & Joey is by no means offensive, and I wouldn't even call it awful -- it's fine to have on in the background, or on mute -- but it's not good, and is a really strange programming choice for a cable network in 2010. Go to Full Review

Melissa & Joey are working again, and working hard, goshdarnit, for you. Your job is to sit there, numb, and remember Melissa and Joey fondly. Think about it: Is there anything that would be nicer to have back with us than the 1990s? Go to Full Review

I want to give this show a chance and I will... Hopefully, it was just the introductions, jamming the background in, and getting the characters acquainted with each other that made it seem so jumbled and bad. Go to Full Review

But overall, the show doesn't live up to its stars, and the use of strong language and references to underage drinking and sex ensure that it's not for tweens. Go to Full Review

Despite the backstory, the humor is conventionally jolly. Hart has the comic edge over Lawrence: She's girlish and goofy, like a plush-doll Jane Krakowski. Go to Full Review

Liam P Aug 31 Melissa and Joey’s writing is stilted and lacks emotional insight, stuck in an early-2000s tone. See more S G @Sean123456789 Jun 30 Funny and well written See more CurlyPianoGirl † 09/12/2024 This is my confort series I absolutely love it, I only wish I could have it on any other streaming site so I could watch it all over again See more 12/06/2018 Melissa is always great to watch, absolute beauty and talent! 90% of this season is off the chart great. Love the tension and attraction. Joey is rock solid actor and they are perfectly casted together. I am shocked it rates so low on here. Its funny and lets you enjoy and escape. I never watched it when it came out since last season of Sabrina was as bad as it gets with guy obsession. Gave it a chance and binge watched all four seasons in a few weeks. Great time spent, no regrets. See more 09/30/2015 Finally a fresh series, I love it! See more 12/13/2013 I did seen some episode and I got to say that they are good episodes.
