I hate to have fun at the expense of others, but "Mrs. Wilson," a new "Masterpiece" miniseries about marital deceit, is all kinds of addictive.

The great pleasure of Mrs. Wilson is that we're as surprised as Alison by each new revelation, I'll simply say that the story keeps us guessing.

It's excellent: understated, rather lovely to look at, beautifully acted. Above all, I think it has something quite subtle to say about the way we all make stories of our lives.

A mood piece, rather than a thriller, it's beautifully made but three episodes seems too long a stretch for this sad little story.

Mrs. Wilson is a low-key mystery, though the story's many layers are exceptional.

Given its structure, it will be interesting how Mrs Wilson manages to traverse all that biographical ground while keeping the suspense that the opener managed to generate.

Fascinating! Ruth wilson plays her own grandmother and does it well. I spent some time researching the true story and it's truly captivating. I hope someday MI6 will release his file and give the family the ability to close that chapter with the truth.

Ruth Wilson delivers yet another well crafted and utterly enjoyable depiction. While her work in "The Affair" and "Jane Eyre" is polished, rich and quite nuanced, it is her work in "Luther" opposite Idris Elba (whose attempts at a southern accent in some of his work need to be either better coached or abandoned) that utterly captivates and mesmerizes this viewer.

Fascinating story so well told and Ruth Wilson, Alexander and Allsison's granddaughter is excellent in this role that so well portrays what her grandmother lived through. Kudos all round on this one!
