TV's most extreme survival challenge just grew extra-large. Veteran survivalists familiar with the stripped-down drill after appearing on "Naked and Afraid" attempt to survive in a desolate, dangerous environment for 40 days -- 19 more than they previously experienced on the show. Pushing the very limits of human endurance, the men and women must all vie for the same limited food, water and shelter while avoiding territorial-sensitive predators and venom-filled reptiles. Because there is no other choice, the competitors quickly get to know one another -- and their surroundings -- and hope that their instincts, survival skills and intestinal fortitude serve them well.

Kat @RT03086205 09/21/2023 I love this show but DANG Trish is such a colossal witch! She's ridiculous and narcissistic! I'm only on episode 3 but I hope this (b)witch fails like no one ever has! She can keep her gross-ness away from any TV show in the future! Disgusting woman, inside AND out. See more 07/23/2022 I love watching all the Naked and Afraid episodes. However, as season 8 was coming to an end. I really began to see the rise of the male ego. Amber is a great survivalist whose skills can match any of the males on the show. Instead of these ego-sentric males using her skills, they kept her barefoot and in the kitchen. I have to give her kudos for her sticking it out with this all-macho crew. The macho attitude that EJ propagates throughout his challenges, unfortunately, began making its way into all the male survivalists this season. You would think by now the LEGEND survivalists would know that yelling in the jungle only spreads the human footprint. Amber, you go girl!!! See more 06/20/2022 I love the show I've never missed a single episode! I was sorry to see Kaila go early, and especially disappointed to see Gary tap too. Couldn't stomach Trish and Jen! It would suck to get paired up with them! They gave no respect to Amber and would not cooperate with her! They drove Amber away then blamed her for leaving! Amber was the only reason they made it to 40 days! Jeff shows up and joins in the mutiny. Sorry Jeff you're a good survivalist but not a good person and not a team player!! How fitting that you got sick. I wanted to like you but I was actually glad to see you go!! Amber is much better off with Steven and EJ. Steven is a great survivalist! See more 06/06/2022 I am so sorry so many had to go home early....I love the guy teams....I am over the two chicks who think 1) it takes two people to make a sign (as if that is vital to survival) 2) Trish picking uneatable berries is just about her biggest contribution to the team and Jen seems less adequate than Trish. (apparently neither feel competent enough to clean fish, what's up with that? 3) Jeff is useless this time around and yet very competent at staring the pot. He does what he always does and that is look for weakness so he can feel good about himself...I hope Amber finds one of the other teams because her knowledge and experience will be appreciated.
