The best show on tv/streaming. The acting is brilliant, the characters are loveable, one of the best LGBTQ+ representation in current media. Rhys Darby deserves an Emmy as Stede Bonnet.

This show is full of love and friendship and I absolutely adore it. The main leads are absolutely fantastic of course, but the whole crew is charming and full of character. Even the characters we aren't supposed to be rooting for are funny and their screen time is always enjoyable. The show is hilarious and silly at times, and at other times soft and extremely emotional. The series does (in my opinion) have a passing issue, something I hope is revolved in the second season, but besides the (at times) slow pacing this show is simply beautiful, and I can't wait to see what happens next

Unique, inspirational, heartfelt! This is one of the best and surprising tv shows I've ever seen. It starts off as a goofy comedy but soon becomes much more than that. It's an uplifting story of discovering your true self in your late forties, taking chances, not conforming to the expextations of others and finding love. The cast is super talented and charismatic and the chemistry between the leads Rhys Darby and Taika Waititi is off the charts. Not forgetting the awesome soundtrack with Fleetwood Mac, Leonard Cohen and Moondog among others. I recommend this show with all my heart.

Season 1 of OFMD is golden. Astronomical. Never-been-done-before amazing. I am so thrilled for season 2, and will be rewatching season 1 in the meantime!

I never thought I would care so much about two pirates falling in love but here we are. The fact Rhys Darby and Taika Waititi are already close friends who've worked together for years results in two characters with such great chemistry. I love that they've been so vocal that it's a romance not a bromance. It's always so lovely to see heterosexual people speak up for the LGBTQ+ community and use their platform to create us content. It's hilarious, so many amazing character's, wonderful acting, and so much representation. Season 2 is also giving us queer female representation which is awesome. So good.
