Vincent T @vincentdjga 23 hrs ago Silo is one of those rare shows that gets better the deeper you go. It starts as a claustrophobic mystery about people living underground, but slowly becomes something much bigger: a story about truth, memory, control, love, survival, and who gets to decide humanity’s future. Some parts are deliberately slow, but the payoff is absolutely worth it. By Season 3, especially the final episodes, the scale of the story completely changes and recontextualizes almost everything that came before. Those last episodes are some of the best science-fiction television I’ve watched in years. Rebecca Ferguson is fantastic as Juliette, but the supporting characters and the mythology eventually become just as fascinating. Silo rewards attention, patience, and rewatching. I think the show improves some aspects of the original material. This season adds new material and changes some things from the books, and it does so spectacularly. The memory-erasure storyline is genius, and Daniel, Helen, and Charlotte's story is far more engaging than it is in the books. The "relics" are another great example. They weren't significant in the books, but the show makes them mysterious and fascinating, even linking them to memory recovery. I have a feeling what's coming will blow our minds in a truly genius way. This is easily one of the best seasons of the show. It's high-quality television for an audience that appreciates this kind of storytelling. Sadly, that audience seems to be getting smaller and smaller. See more Read all reviews
