[It] amps up the action and increases the personal risk factor, reflecting the real-life chaos of today’s geopolitical landscape while telling fictional—if mostly plausible—stories. Go to Full Review

Taylor Sheridan has created a structure that allows new characters to join and others to depart, which also ups the ante that anyone could die at any time, just like in reality. Lioness continues to improve with each season, and this one is the best yet. Go to Full Review

Sam B @tomatosam 3 days ago Taylor Sheridan knows the formula to write a popular story. Unfortunately, Taylor's scripts often get peppered with his preachy right-wing monologues that are thinly disguised as sensible dialogues. Take, for example, Lioness S03E05 "The Idiot Army". It ends with Joe talking down to her husband, Neal, about how Lenin called progressives "useful idiots". Neal just sits there and quietly nods as if what Taylor, I mean Joe, is saying makes perfect sense. The episode is even titled "The Idiot Army". The problem is, it isn't true. Lenin never called progressives "useful idiots". The term wasn't even invented until 20 years after Lenin's death. But hey, it reinforces Taylor's right-wing talking points so let's go ahead and end and title the episode on it. You can see this same bad habit throughout Taylor's other work, and it really detracts from mostly otherwise good shows and films. See more OOM P @OOMPod 5 days ago I thought Lioness Season 3 was good, although I definitely preferred the previous two seasons. Joe's kidnapping was a really interesting way to kick things off, and I liked how the mystery gradually revealed everything that led to that moment. The performances were great as always, and there were some really good action sequences, even if this season wasn't nearly as action-packed. My biggest issue was how much time we spent in the past rather than focusing on the kidnapping itself and its consequences. I stayed interested, but as the season went on, it started feeling like the mystery was being stretched out longer than necessary. By the finale, I was hoping for more payoff rather than additional setup for what's coming next. Still, I enjoyed it, and I'm interested in seeing where the story goes from here. 7.5/10 — Good See more Brian D @Brianwd2 6 days ago 80%. 10/14/26. I thought this was the best season. Like the storyline with Joe getting kidnapped and the rest of the team trying to find her. Also with that, much less time spent on the boring storylines around her family. It's also cool how they incorporate Ukraine, Russia, US dynamic with some accurate representations of the dynamics between the countries. The spin at the end is great too. Excited for the next season. See more Richard S @RichieS Oct 16, 2026 Addicting season of Lioness. I feel privileged to be watching TV in the Taylor Sheridan era. He wrote every episode. I love all of his creations. See more Jim H @jimhassel Oct 15, 2026 This time around I was tuning in every Sunday for the new episode. I like the change in direction they took, development of the team chemistry. Actually have an idea of who is on the same side more now. Cliffhanger was very satisfying. My favorite season thus far.
