Cage has enormous fun with all of this but also establishes that his character sometimes is primarily a spider and physicalizes that in a way that's just a riot. If you saw him in "Vampire's Kiss," you're familiar with his brand of unbridled acting. Go to Full Review

It’s a lot of fun, acting and direction are exemplary, and its parade of thieves, grifters, and bouncers are wonderfully evil. Go to Full Review

Nicolas Cage gives a four-star performance in a three-star Spidey-adjacent series that is almost but not quite as gloriously unhinged as he is playing a 1930’s gumshoe who’s 70 percent Humphrey Bogart and 30 percent Bugs Bunny. Go to Full Review

When Spider-Noir fully embraces its weirdness, it achieves something that many modern superhero shows no longer even try to do: feel genuinely different. Go to Full Review

Spider-Noir is a blast. It’s a twisty noir mystery, a genuinely heroic super-hero story, and a loving homage to film noir as a whole. Go to Full Review

This sharply written homage to classic film noir — which includes a standout Nicolas Cage performance — is the novel superhero project fans need. Go to Full Review

Parv C @RT49295918 16 hrs ago Really loved the story and setting of the show reminded me of good old TV shows and sin city movies and nic cage was phenomenal as always and rest of the actors were really fun to watch as well, gleeson as silvermane was really memorable sad there won't be any more seasons would have loved a couple more seasons 11/10 will recommend to anyone regardless if you love Spiderman or into superheros. See more Cari C @Furneaux 4 days ago This was a delight I was sad that it was only one season but trust me its well rounded and worth getting involved in. Casting is spot on. I don't think it matters but I thought color version was more that old comics that you read which fit better than black and white but to each his own. Two Thumbs way up See more Ed L @Edddd 6 days ago A amazing series deserves more praise and respect. See more Brian S @BDSizemore Sep 9, 2026 Great series. Deserves much more. See more Mate P @matepolcz Sep 8, 2026 Spider-Noir is engaging and stylish. The character arcs and the story are pretty predictable, while the dialogues are good enough. What makes Ben Rielly unique is mostly Nic Cage, who for the most part is incredible in the role. (I think he went a little too far in the penultimate episode though.) The directing is good, the cinematography uses a lot of different techniques to create its unique still, the Dutch angles being my favourite, alongside the dolly push ins. The pacing is good, the production design as well, I was hoping for more practicality on the streets though, but I understand that's not manageable on a TV budget. The VFX works in black and white, but it was pretty terrible in color. The cast fits their characters perfectly. I would watch a season 2, but unlike Wonder Man, this doesn't need one, so I'll be able to live without it. See more Pedro A @PedroAlao Sep 8, 2026 Nicolas Cage brings his personal brand of charisma to a well crafted and enjoyably over-the-top period piece, supported by a range of fun characters. However, some of them seemed to be underdeveloped or to have their story lines be concluded rather abruptly. See more Read all reviews
