Nicolas Cage delivers a gloriously pulpy performance that makes every quip and thwip crackle in Spider-Noir -- a dazzling, stylish blend of hard-boiled storytelling and pure comic book verve.

Cage has enormous fun with all of this but also establishes that his character sometimes is primarily a spider and physicalizes that in a way that's just a riot. If you saw him in "Vampire's Kiss," you're familiar with his brand of unbridled acting. Go to Full Review

It’s a lot of fun, acting and direction are exemplary, and its parade of thieves, grifters, and bouncers are wonderfully evil. Go to Full Review

Nicolas Cage gives a four-star performance in a three-star Spidey-adjacent series that is almost but not quite as gloriously unhinged as he is playing a 1930’s gumshoe who’s 70 percent Humphrey Bogart and 30 percent Bugs Bunny. Go to Full Review

This sharply written homage to classic film noir — which includes a standout Nicolas Cage performance — is the novel superhero project fans need. Go to Full Review

Captures the nostalgia of watching noir films, but carries the sensibilities of the present... The few female characters are powerhouses. The racial undertones of the 30s are touched on and navigated. The music is sublime. Nicolas Cage is excellent. Go to Full Review

The real heroes here are production designer Warren Alan Young and cinematographers Darran Tiernan and Peter Deming, who give the series a ravishing look that reminds of “Ripley.” Go to Full Review

(avaliação: 7/10) See more P E @dookieboi2000 7h Really enjoyed this, ironic how good the color grading was for a show that you can watch in black & white. Good watch, would recommend! See more Alex G @HeroMovies06 2d What a great show, definitely my favorite of the year so far. See more Sponge B @RT02640473 2d I think this is a pretty good show. I don't really like the hue blue colour. I don't really think its hue blue I just think its normal color but more purple. I did not watch the movies as much back then but I think they should of made it more older looking to fit the theme. But I think the whole point of the coloured version was for more accommodating reasons. I really like nicholas cage acting in it. His narration at the start sounded a bit boring but I like his freak outs and his drunk scenes. I really like how the character looked. Megawatt was pretty interesting at the start but for me personally his character got a bit tiresome towards the end. Silvermane was pretty good. Sandman was pretty cool but I don't think he has anything against the main 616 sandman. I'm looking forward to Season 2. See more Noah S @Noah2002 3d Kind of boring at times, however it was a really enjoyable show and breath of fresh air than the usual live-action Spider-Man shenanigans. See more Debora S @Debby8904 4d Disappointing! I saw this getting a lot of praise and plugs in this very sub and I do love Cage, I went in excited. I give it props for trying something new and there were some fun ideas and moments, but overall this show fell super flat for me. I found it boring and I'll say it, very cheap looking (yes, even in black & white). The effects were distractingly bad and there was something about the dubbing that made everyone sound very mumbly to me, especially Gleeson. I had fun watching Cage be Cage, his spider twitches really cracked me up but it wasn't enough to redeem overall. See more Read all reviews
