Liza M @CriticCauldron Jan 24 Spring Baking Championship Season 8 broke my trust in the show. The judges—Kardea Brown, Nancy Fuller, and Duff Goldman—allowed a contestant to win a challenge after clearly ignoring the rules (baking a cake when cakes were banned), which felt like blatant favoritism. Host Molly Yeh comes across like an overexcited third‑grader, constantly hovering, interrupting, and crossing boundaries with the bakers instead of letting them focus. Between the unfair judging and the unprofessional hosting, this season feels manipulated and disappointing. I won’t be watching any baking challenge with this lineup again—may every over‑praised, under‑baked decision they make from now on mysteriously collapse in the center, so they finally taste the frustration they served. See more Kimberly D Sep 24 I thought that the contest was extremely unfair. Brining in the sub par bakers for no apparent reason and then the changing of the rules twice was demoralizing. It made me so angry half way through the finale. It felt so random and just left a bad taste. See more Lanai C Jun 9 Horrible season! Romy was hands down the best baker every heat. Not sure how an unbaked cheesecake is not an instant cut? What a joke. Even worse was the surprise, "2 of you will have to compete in a bake off to get in the finale" :0 and by the way it must be sprinkles, gross!! Worst of all was the host, Molly Yeh, not "yeah" at all. She was fake, annoying, and tried to make the season about her, come on sprinkles...are you kidding me! Very disappointing since I usually love this show :( See more Mariana C Apr 18 The host was just trying to make the show about herself and interrupting the bakers in the worst moment. The winner have a lot of help from judges and the show. Bringing back old bakers is crazy. The most coherent baker was Romy that walk away because of the crazy decisions of the producers See more Teresa Mar 7 What a horrible season! It was obvious from almost the beginning that the judges were going to keep Jaleesa despite many disasters she prepared. The host, Molly, was so overly dramatic, it was like watching a fifth grade girl hosting a show. Clearly they tried to be as inclusive as they could, and the whole show went downhill and got weird. I loved when the chef from France walked out. He knew what was going on. Disaster! See more JOSEFINA S Mar 6 The was the worst episode ever, it was so unfair. Molly is the worst!
