I have faith that Ted Lasso will go from strength to strength in this new incarnation — after all, it’s the show that persuaded us all to believe. Go to Full Review

Ted Lasso won’t save the world, but at least it’ll make us feel a little bit better about it, for 40 minutes at a time. Go to Full Review

Waddingham’s passionate delivery makes an effective case to viewers. Even in the wide world of sports movies and shows, men and women are treated differently. For the reasons Rebecca spells out, they shouldn’t be. Go to Full Review

The strength of Ted Lasso, thus, remains in the quiet, slow change it brings about, just like its central character and his constant nudging towards a fair, equal, and kinder world. Go to Full Review

'Ted Lasso' retains some of its warmth and still knows how to tug at the heartstrings, but this fourth season doesn't always find a compelling enough reason to justify itself. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

While easily the series’ weakest installment, Ted Lasso Season 4 overcomes a rocky start to deliver a heartfelt, hard-won turnaround. Go to Full Review

Kay B @Kay_B 2 hrs ago The writing on this show is SO consistently good, and the addition of Tanya as Alice is pure genius. Without spoiling, I’ll just say that this season takes the viewer on an emotional rollercoaster that keeps getting better. Even the twins, who seem obnoxious early on, grow to move us. I look forward to continue getting to know them and the rest of the Lady Greyhounds in Season 5! 🤞 See more Magnus P @bollemesteren 13 hrs ago Idk how to feel about it I really love this show, but this season just feels unnecessary, it ended perfectly with season 3, so this just feels like a cashgrab. It just feels like a different show to me, it isn't bad, but it's not Ted Lasso seaon 1-3. See more Quinn R @qritz7 20 hrs ago Although Ted is now coaching a women’s team (which is a nice twist from the original 3 seasons), the show hasn’t changed - one scene you’re rolling your eyes cause it’s so cheesy and the next you’re crying because of a touching speech or relatable lesson. (62%) See more Andrew F @RT64064873 1 day ago There were moments of the things that made Ted Lasso such a well-rounded, warm and sincere show in reason 4, but it was missing a focus on the heart and soul of the whole thing: football. The first 3 seasons worked so well because the focus was on the team and the club first, and then we got to know the players and the staff as the people who made it something great. Season 4 felt like it lost that focus on the game (we don’t even get to see the result of the Lady Greyhound’s much anticipated grand final!) so we never really got to know the players as characters, just likeable caricatures. The bickering Irish twins, the mildly unhinged goaley boots, the spoiled star striker Gemma. But there was no real depth to any of them. There’s a great story to be told about the struggles of female professional athletes to get to play at the elite level they do, I hope that gets more focus if there’s a season 5. See more Charles L @RT86370752 1 day ago I'm so glad this show came back, and the creators obviously put a lot of care into it. Tanya Reynolds as Alice was a revelation and watching her character grow over the season was wonderful. My only complaints are the Beard storyline could have been completely eliminated, and I wasn't crazy about Tracy Ullman's Zelda character. I'm not sure a "villain" was needed, All in all though, it was good to have som eold friends back. See more J M @dragonrebornxc 1 day ago The new season has a lot to do; it needs to balance old characters w/new, do something fresh, tip it’s hat to the old seasons, balance pacing, and provide plot arcs for the season and each episode. Ultimately, it does this well (some better than others) by keeping the original’s recipe but changing up the ingredients a bit. Best of all, it keeps the trend of having characters confront conflict head on rather than the cheap tactic of using dramatic irony to string the viewer along. See more Read all reviews
