Brisco County is a person, not a location. He's a Harvard-educated lawyer who decides he doesn't like practicing law and changes his career to -- what else? -- bounty hunting. Complete with sidekick Lord Bowler and trusty horse Comet, Brisco also hunts his father's murderer in this tongue-in-cheek series, set in 1893.

This is sure to be compared to the bygone "Wild, Wild West." But it is a good deal more hip and intelligent. Go to Full Review

It's the funniest Western since Mel Brooks' Blazing Saddles, and the most pop-culturally literate. As if the story weren't fun enough, you can make a game of spotting the movie and TV references. Go to Full Review

Nick S 10/26/2024 The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. is a must watch for anyone that wants to enjoy clever storytelling with excellent writing and acting to go with it! See more 05/27/2022 I absolutely adored this show as a kid. The whole family used to watch it together, we never missed an aired episode. I watched it again as an adult, and it holds up, and more in spite of the relatively low video resolution, I watched it in. Truly an under appreciated classic television serial.
