This Is a Gardening Show is loaded with botched takes, tossaway asides and truly terrible jokes, even knock-knock jokes. Host Galifianakis clearly has fun, and so do his guests. Go to Full Review

As a comic, Galifianakis can exude loopy naivete or snippy disdain, and he smartly curates both here. Go to Full Review

It’s an easy, lighthearted watch. But there’s also an earnest impetus behind the project. Go to Full Review
James Croot The Post NZ Jun 10
As both the adults and kids he encounters on-camera demonstrate and will surely attest, it’s hard to dislike someone so excited by his subject, hanging on his interviewees’ every word and keen to spread the gospel of gardening. Go to Full Review

I’m not sure what I was expecting from Zach Galifianakis’s new Netflix series, This Is a Gardening Show, but I found the whole thing absolutely delightful -- and not quite what anyone might have expected. Go to Full Review

Jan J @JanJu Jun 13 Relaxing, funny, informative. Maybe I’m just getting old but i love it. See more Kathryn L @Landranka Jun 13 I’m disappointed by this show. More time is spent trying to be funny than actually on the subject of the episode. I’m not sure why he’s interviewing kids? (Don’t get me wrong, corn phone was funny, but I didn’t understand what the kid segments were meant to add to the show. Felt weird. The kids looked uncomfortable a lot of the time. That one poor girl just wanted her lunch.) Never really stays on topic, or brings it around. I was excited to hear about Zach’s experiences with gardening since he said he’d been doing it for so long, but that is never brought up. Honestly, if I was thinking about gardening, and this is the show I chose to watch to check it out a bit more, I think it would turn me off to it entirely. If you are interested in learning about gardening (even if you think you have a brown thumb) I’d recommend watching "Epic Gardening" videos on YouTube. Kevin is fun and informative and passionate about helping others learn to grow. See more Meghan L @RT30482655 Jun 5 I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SHOW ! Not only is it hilarious , it's really educational ! One of the best shows I've ever seen :) I hope they make more episodes !! It's a gem ! See more Gareth V @geewah Jun 3 Warm, funny, genuinely educational, and completely without cynicism. In a sea of prestige drama and bloated thrillers, This Is a Gardening Show is a quiet little miracle. Watch it. See more Noelle T. @RT58915795 May 24 Fun, artistic, knowledgeable. The future is Agrarian🥕 See more Justin B. @TOPDOM May 15 Put on your sunscreen, grab a cold beverage, and float down this Lazy-River/gateway-drug of a show. Mellow, relaxing and a good way to calm down at the end of a long day. You’re not in any real danger of learning useful information. The goal of the show is just to get us hooked on a vibe so we can seek out more useful information and start our own garden. I’m onto you Zach and I love it. See more Read all reviews
