This crime drama follows members of a police department as they try to uncover a mystery against the elements. In a fjord near a small Icelandic town, a ferry arrives from Denmark with 300 passengers -- but only their journey stops here. A storm overhead and a treacherous blizzard prevent the ferry and the townspeople from leaving the remote area. When a dismembered, mutilated body washes up onshore, the local police realize a murder has taken place just hours earlier. Everybody trapped in the vicinity immediately becomes potential suspects and chaos descends as they try to find the killer.

08/14/2022 The mixture of white nationalism and corporate greed destroying the environment was highly relevant to the times. (Though in Iceland, they actually seem to care about these problems). It remained a big mystery who was behind the murders until the end. But, why are Nordic cops ALWAYS so physically incompetent? Asgeir gets overcome and locked in a cell in Season 1, allowing a suspect to escape. Asgeir completely fails again in Season 2, losing a key piece of evidence and tragic consequences. A van is approaching a police roadblock, backs up to avoid it, and changes direction. In what universe would they totally ignore it and fail to pursue or do anything? And it's not just this series. I just cringe as I see it coming--the cop will again be beaten into submission and the perpetrator will once again get away. If you enjoy the slow-burn with a lot of red-herrings, this is a worthwhile series. See more 01/25/2022 Just as good as the first season, but at times it felt a bit more focused on the characters their drama and "family problems" (Henrika story, the rift between Andri and his daughter) than the mystery and the murders. Also, the whole bit with Asgeir hmmm not sure I liked how they did that story bit. I mean, really? Would a police office would go on like that by him? Although I'm not sure, maybe it was always meant to go in that way for him. After all, they did present him before as a bit.... incompetent?/ unlucky? Season 1, he was attacked and locked in the cell by a prisoner. See more 05/29/2021 You feel the Scandinavian tension in your blood See more 03/10/2021 Following a terrific first season a wretched but over-the-top, politically correct second. See more 06/07/2020 Saeason 1 superb. Season 2 horrible plot holes and stupid decisions by the characters. Forcing the story to beat overdramatic. Dont watch. Stay on season one See more 05/10/2020 Superb plot, great characters and amazing scenery of Iceland. See more Read all reviews
