There’s not much originality in the writing, but the dynamic between the two bothered characters works... and the pace has a decent ebb and flow. Go to Full Review

Troppo is a decent enough crime drama. Just don’t be surprised if it makes you want to reach for the air-con and a coldie. Rather slowly, of course. Go to Full Review

Watching these two proud but very damaged people sort out their respective baggage as they stand together against all the local adversity in this dusty Queensland town is the allure at the center of Troppo... Go to Full Review

A completely captivating mystery from beginning to end. Filled with twists and turns, this series is an easy obsession. Go to Full Review

Troppo is compelling TV, not necessarily because of its mystery plot, which is serviceable without being spectacular, but due to the interplay between the leads. Go to Full Review

Theres a couple of minor rough patches, but overall this is a solid addition to the ABCs recent line-up of local murder mysteries Go to Full Review

Sinead K @RT31976091 May 17 The first few episodes are a little difficult to get through but once you do the pay off is worth it. Saying that the slow burn approach will not be to everyone's taste and even I could have done with a little bit more pace. However, the character development was top notch and the actors finely portrayed the harsh reality of carrying pain and regret. See more Seth W @RT64426086 Aug 28 Great show. Almost didn't stick with it because Amanda really doesn't start out as likeable and I kept wondering where all of the bugs were in the "tropical" setting, but once I let that go it was pretty fun. See more Stephen A @Steve1000 06/01/2025 Nothing original here. The drunk ex cop...the quirky outsider. Also the writing is average and outright daft on places. See more Lori N @RT82345130 03/20/2025 This not bad but the writers really need to drop all the weirdo crap with the girl. Completely unnecessary and is absolutely ridiculous. See more C B @RT03025588 09/26/2024 This show has some interesting, quirky main characters and a slight sense of humor which is derived from their eccentricities, although Thomas Jane's "grizzledness" is kind of a cliche. Most movies/ TV shows I've seen from Australia have more desert and less greenery. However, I only watched the first episode because- despite the first 5 minutes- it seems to be mostly a mystery with not much suspense or action. Not exactly my cup of Foster's. See more Steve O @RT93011622 08/06/2024 This was a big surprise. Some of the most complex, damaged characters I've seen, excellently written and portrayed. Very rarely do I feel such tension by the end of a show, but I could barely handle the thrilling ending. See more Read all reviews
