Lena L @RT01518348 Apr 27 This drama has easily become the best thing I’ve watched in a long time. Weak Hero is just… insane. The characters are some of the most complex and well-written I’ve ever seen, they feel so real it stays with you long after you finish. It doesn’t shy away from heavy topics like child abuse, sexual assault, loneliness, envy, and how dangerous it is to keep everything bottled up. But somehow it still manages to be super entertaining. There are funny moments, captivating fight scenes that had me locked in, and just the right amount of tension. At its core though, it’s a story about real human pain and how important it is to speak up and ask for help before it’s too late. If you’re thinking about watching it, just do it. It’s not just another school fight drama as i feared, it actually says something that matters. and the acting is just impeccable, 10/10. one of the most impactful shows I’ve seen. See more Bradley G @Bradrad13 Dec 18 I think they have done a good job on making this show, it overdoes the violence, but shows a fairly good view of what Korean schools are like. I would absolutely watch this! Disappointing how they basically restarted the series for season 2. pretty much just started again but a different school. Hope season 3 comes out! See more Andrew C. @AndrewC4 Nov 29 The start of the story and the character backgrounds were convincing, but once the show tried to explain away why the authorities haven’t been involved it became too unrealistic. Why did the police show up and say “this isn’t our jurisdiction”? The police of the proper jurisdiction should have showed up. Why did they show up without a search warrant when they have enough probable cause for not only search warrant but to detain the owner of that property. And even after showing up without a warrant, the police should have stayed until the search warrant was approved, not just leave… Everyone in this show behaves too irrationally and it becomes too inconceivable that any of this would happen. It’s still entertaining though, but more as a background show, in my opinion. Stopped watching after episode 3. See more Read all reviews
