Patrick O Feb 2 This was randomly recommended to me on my Roku Home Screen this morning as a program that airs on the Roku Sports channel. I put it on in the background doing chores expecting nothing. It’s a similar concept to Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars series, where Cena interviews people in their cars that they love. I found it really fascinating as the guests have been people I really didn’t know much about. As someone who has a background in interviewing guests for podcasts, I can recognize a good interviewer when I see one. It’s a skill, and Cena looks like he’s been doing it forever. He asks great questions and steps back and lets the guests speak for themselves. In a world where people conducting the interviews can be as big, if not a bigger celebrity than their guests, setting your ego aside and letting guests have the floor is hard to do. Kudos to Cena. I’m excited to see where this show goes and what other guests they feature. See more SkyRo P @TheMovieSearch 01/22/2025 "What Drives You" featuring John Cena is a captivating television series that delves into the WWE superstar's passion for cars and his knack for conducting engaging interviews with celebrities. From a young age, Cena has had a deep love for vehicles, and in this show, he visits the homes of various stars, taking a ride in their cars while discussing their lives and experiences. Initially, I was skeptical about the show. I thought it would lean towards the absurd, filled with antics reminiscent of the chaotic style often seen with YouTube personalities. However, I was pleasantly surprised by Cena's approach. He brings a refreshing energy to the interviews, demonstrating genuine curiosity and investment in the stories of these actors and actresses. It feels like he cares about the questions he’s asking, rather than simply reading from a script. One aspect I noticed is that all his guests have been male so far. It would be great to see some female guests behind the wheel as well. I can imagine how entertaining it would be to have the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Sandra Bullock, Ronda Rousey, or Charlotte Flair join him for a ride. John Cena has transitioned from being a decent actor to an impressive entrepreneur and businessman, successfully building his brand. While Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson may have paved the way for wrestlers in Hollywood, Cena is certainly making his own mark as a formidable force in the industry. Despite some debate about who was the true pioneer, Cena stands out as one of the most successful wrestlers turned actors, bringing his own unique charm to the screen. Overall, I find "What Drives You" to be well-produced and genuinely enjoyable. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good watch. The episodes are short, making them easy to digest, and they provide fascinating insights into the guests’ backgrounds. It was particularly interesting to see a different side of Logan Paul, showcasing a more relatable persona rather than his usual brash demeanor. You can catch it on the Roku Channel, so definitely give it a try! See more Read all reviews
