Probably due to the fact that Kayce Dutton was a beloved character from Yellowstone. I liked the idea of this series for him I just wish they would’ve put it on Paramount+ like they did for Dutton Ranch so it could’ve been a higher quality series with less cheesy writing. The team element of the show is engaging and it didn’t take long to connect with majority of them. However make no mistake this is a “Dad cop show” in Montana. Some of the acting is terrible specifically Tatanka Means and Brecken Merrill. Last thing is that the age difference between Cal and his daughter Maddie is bizarre since the actors are only 16 years apart IRL.
