Beyond the Sea (2004) Michael Elliott It is not a good sign when the film opens with the characters arguing about how the movie should begin.

The Bourne Identity (2002) Douglas Downs While The Bourne Identity does vary some from the novel, what Liman has pulled off is the best thriller that I have seen in a long time.

Hamlet (2000) Christopher Heyn This version of Hamlet could have been something captivating, but instead, director Almereyda seemed more interested in filling the screen with creative visuals and less so with telling a coherent story.

My Dog Skip (2000) Matthew Prins The film has a message of friendship and caring that few Christians would be at odds with.

The Road to El Dorado (2000) Michael Elliott Mr. Kline and Mr. Branagh play off each other magnificently, wringing humor from scenes by adeptly giving a wry or sarcastic lilt to each line.

Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983) Cheryl Sneeringer There's plenty of action, plenty of suspense, and plenty of noise. All in all, it's a fun ride.

Quiz Show (1994) Ken James The acting by leads John Turturro as Herbie Stempel, Rob Morrow as Dick Goodwin, and Ralph Fiennes as Charles Van Doren is nothing short of excellent.

Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) Ryan Kelly Better plot, better acting, and is -- overall -- the best!
