African-American actress BernNadette Stanis is most widely known for playing Thelma, Jimmie "J.J." Walker's younger sister, on CBS's sitcom "Good Times," about a working-class family in Chicago. "Good Times" was so successful that Stanis still lives off of its residuals. After the show's end, she continued to play various TV roles, making brief appearances in "The Love Boat," "What's Happening Now!," and "Bustin' Loose," among others. Stanis has also been in a handful of films, including "Land of the Free?," Master P's "Still 'Bout It," and "N-Secure." Aside from Stanis's modest body of film and television work, she also lends her voice to radio ads for AT&T and other commercials. She has appeared in commercials for Nationwide Insurance and the TV One network.
