Chet Stratton's acting talents were showcased on the big screen many times throughout the course of his Hollywood career. Stratton's early acting career mostly consisted of roles in various films, such as the Pat Boone comedy adaptation "All Hands on Deck" (1961), the dramatic adaptation "Go Naked in the World" (1961) with Gina Lollobrigida and the dramatic adaptation "Advise and Consent" (1962) with Henry Fonda. He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including parts on "The Twilight Zone" (CBS, 1959-1964) and "The Munsters" (CBS, 1964-66). His film career continued throughout the sixties in productions like the adaptation "Those Calloways" (1964) with Brian Keith, "Bus Riley's Back in Town" (1965) with Ann-Margret and the action movie "In Harm's Way" (1965) with John Wayne. He also appeared in the Max von Sydow drama "The Greatest Story Ever Told" (1965) and the James Caan action picture "Journey to Shiloh" (1968). Nearing the end of his career, he continued to act in the Ray Stricklyn sports "Track of Thunder" (1968), the James Garner suspenseful adaptation "Marlowe" (1969) and "Sweet Charity" (1969). He also appeared in "The Arrangement" (1969) with Kirk Douglas. Stratton last appeared in "Three's a Crowd" (ABC, 1969-1970). Stratton passed away in July 1970 at the age of 60.
