Canadian actress and singer Isabelle Blais was born in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec in 1975. She studied at the Conservatoire de musique et d'art dramatique du Quebec, before making her first appearances in French-Canadian film. She soon transitioned into American movies, however, with a small role in 2002's Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. She would continue to earn accolades for her performances over the coming years, appearing in films like 2003's The Barbarian Invasions, 2004's Les Aimants, and 2010's The High Cost of Living.Blais has also nurtured a career as a vocalist, singing in the Canadian rock group Caiman Fu.
