The film told the story of the famous custody battles over Vanderbilt between her mother and aunt, and was nominated for several Golden Globes, setting Dundas' career in motion. In 1996, she played Chris Paradis, the daughter of actress Diane Keaton's character, in the dramatic comedy "First Wives Club" about three women dumped by their men for younger ones.
