Pam Oliver
Sports journalist Pam Oliver was born in Dallas, Texas. Raised an "army brat", she followed her father's military career around the United States. Attending high school in Niceville, Florida she was noticed for her talents in basketball, track and field, and tennis. While getting her degree at Florida A&M University she was competitive in track and field, earning the All-American designation in the 400-meter and the mile relay. Oliver's career in journalism began in 1985 as a news reporter in Albany, Georgia. After a few years of moving around between various cities and broadcasting gigs, Oliver landed her first job as a sports anchor in Tampa, Florida in 1991. Building on her success from there, she was hired by ESPN in 1993 and Fox Sports in 1995. At Fox Sports, her sideline reporting accompanied the #1 sportscasting duo Pat Summerall and John Madden. Starting in 2005, Oliver became a sideline reporter for the NBA Playoffs on TNT. In 2014, Fox Sports moved her to the #2 NFL broadcasting team where she continued her sideline reporting.
