It's the white man's burden once again, out in the steamy heat of the stinking tropics, surrounded by unintelligible savages...and their women, driven by their unimaginable lusts! The boys put up a good fight but Hedy Lamarr, painted in blackface and breathing heavily through every scene, an undeniable force of nature, steals this opus which is not so much about race as about fear of the opposite sex. A product of old shadows, yes perhaps, but relevant for the apt portrait of ancient superstitions. And fun besides.

Silly jungle junk but Hedy is ravishing. If that's enough for you this is worth watching once but only once.
