An excellent alternative to the mainstream propaganda which would have us internalize the worst beliefs about an unfairly maligned segment of society. Guaranteed to generate quality conversation about the direction of African-Americana. Go to Full Review

07/29/2020 I never realized how may "false myths" I had believed when it came to black men. I always thought I was "aware" and "diverse". So, "no problem"...Right? I was very defensive when I first approached this film. I remember turning it off right away. Then, I decided to face it. I turned off my head, and listened. The impact of this film is so much bigger then what I had assumed. It's about facts, stats, and "the numbers" that shape a narrative around black men. This film is about bring to light how we are all holding ideas that are not based in facts. The lesson in this document has impacted my life on a very deep level. I have a deeper sense of the issues we are facing in society. Sadly, I see that our culture has changed very little over the past 30 years. I hear people still repeating statements that were disproven in this documentary. I think this film is a very important step in our culture to unite people. This should be viewed in every educational institution. But the work should not stop there. The presentation of science and facts creates a rift in a false reality we are all operating under.
