Movie Info

This documentary follows illegal Mexican immigrants who turn to Arizona as their portal into America while border security tightens in California and Texas. Thousands of men looking for work and increasing numbers of women and children, make their way across the desert daily. While some Americans hope to change border restrictions legally, and leave supplies scattered along the route hoping to help the immigrants, others carry arms and patrol the state line with a grimmer intent.

  • No hour-and-a-half documentary can do much more than scratch the surface of the issue, but Mathew and DeVivo provide an excellent primer and some human faces on the front lines.

  • Everyone knows that illegal immigration is a problem, but there's really no answer to be found. Crossing Arizona does a nice job covering all sides of the issue.
