After a crash that kills her boyfriend, Catherine Tramell (Sharon Stone) has her car searched by the police, who find illegal drugs. Prosecutors handling her case send Tramell to see psychiatrist Michael Glass (David Morrissey). Glass determines that Tramell, a novelist whose books deal with sensational murders, might just be a dangerous person herself. But his findings don't prevent him from embarking on a sexually charged relationship with the cunning cougar.

Glass is clearly meant to be a morally gray doctor...but that ambiguity and Morrissey's lack of sexual chemistry with Stone (who is vacant in her second go at the character) simply drains the life from this whole enterprise.

BASIC INSTINCT 2 isn’t as bad as they say, but it’s nothing to defend. The gloomy English backdrop suits a script that stumbles from start to finish. Still, Stone owns every scene—almost by force of will.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, a história é fraca, os personagens sao fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes para fazer o filme ser bom, o filme tem o roteiro igual aí primeiro filme de 1992, a única coisa que muda, no filme é o local onde a Catarina tramell está que é em Londres, com tudo isso, eu não recomendo esse filme
