I found it fun and nostalgic to walk down memory lane with him and was especially intrigued by his thoughtful, peaceful, and unbothered personality. However, it's definitely not the most interesting biographical documentary that I have seen and the clips from other comedians like Kevin Hart, Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld and Dave Chapelle that were interspersed throughout didn't add any insight or depth to the topic at hand. I'm not mad I watched it, but if you aren't already an Eddie Murphy fan or have some sort of context for the era/people discussed then you might not find it too entertaining. Most of the presented topics are mere celebratory structurally polished with agreeably moderate depth solely amid the in-between reflective perception as the best highlights besides the fascinatingly honest charisma. For anyone who simply enjoy his films with retained respect over the turkeys, this is a documentary delivered in pleasing appeal.
