See more Logan D @Greynomad38 10/01/2023 After a suspected pedophile and murderer evades being convicted, a cop and the father of the most recent victim decide to force the suspect to confess. One thing you need to know going into this film is Jewish belief. A body must be buried complete. Not only is the father vengeful because it was his daughter horribly murdered but because he head is missing and the burial will not be complete without it. An intense film but it never rose to the level of other comparable films such as Silence of the Lambs. Perhaps that's because of the humor present within which does alleviate the gravity of the theme. It does well keeping the viewer wondering if they have the right person. Recommended. Coincidentally viewed this in a sequence of 4 films involving pedophilia as a theme. By the end of the movie, basically every character turns out to be a psychopath and it loses any sense of believability. It's a plot that keeps you guessing but it also kinda goes in circles. The charming performances and dry humor keeps it engaging regardless. Watch out: it gets pretty dark pretty quickly. See more 07/23/2021 Awful, don't watch. Who approved this? See more 12/07/2020 I feel so happy to watch a movie that is funny and intrigue filled after so much time of not having watched one. This movie is famous because Tarantino called it the best movie of it's year. I can see why he might think that, it is a very very dark comedy that will not be of everyone's taste. For me it is amazimg how they add comedy to such a dark movie and never take you away from the experience. Two actors in the movie look like Robert Duvall and Steve Carrell.
