In an isolated, run-down detention facility, deep in the mountains, a group of mysterious travelers from the future are being held as illegal immigrants. The government has tasked agents and social workers to process and interrogate the immigrants to help understand their arrival, but inner turmoil and moral dilemmas makes their work increasingly difficult. Alice, the head of interrogations, is overwhelmed and struggling to keep up with the influx of travelers. A social worker, Michele, finds himself breaking the code of ethics and falls in love with one of the detainees. Maurizio, a quantum physicist at the center, is struggling to make sense of the future science behind time-travel. When a government inspector makes an unexpected visit, he takes a special interest in one particular immigrant and the entire organization of the center begins to unravel, jeopardizing the future spacetime continuum.
