Damme he used the force. I swear he did.
Van Damme enters a secret competition to honor his master. Wanting more than kicks and punches is watching the wrong movie. Van Damme's physicality impresses, the pace of the movie is frantic with the menacing and caricature villain the film needs.
Jean Claude Van Damme stardom is quite entertaining
Classic martial arts movie!!
There are things to like about this movie...but not many.
Everything you would want with an 80's martial arts film.
There's a story that this is one of Trump's favorite flicks, and that in the 90s he would watch it on his private jet, telling Don Jr. to fast forward through all of the plot to get straight to the scenes of an American beating up on a cadre of foreigners. Of course, the fact that Dux himself is a pathological liar, a textbook example of so-called stolen valor, and that the movie is pure "fake news" makes 45's fandom all the more fitting.
It is definitely a 80's movie. It follows about every 80's action movie trope. But if you can over look the montages and bad action sequences, you might enjoy it.
Good for all the wrong reasons, including 80's tropes, terrible acting/dialogue and over the top action.
This movie had amazing martial arts action and great substance!
