Movie Info

The Republic of Texas wins its independence from Mexico in 1836, but with the political landscape uncertain, the Republic sends an agent, Erastus "Deaf" Smith (Anthony Quinn), on a vital undercover mission. Smith's infiltration of a rebel group is complicated by the fact that he cannot hear or speak, and rebel forces have accessed information identifying just such a spy. He's joined on his mission by Johnny Ears (Franco Nero), who attempts to conceal his partner's handicaps.
