Watching Felicity learn (with great interest and relish) the ins and outs of etiquette during tea or the place of a woman in the 1770s was just dull.
I had never heard about any dolls or books when I saw this, so I really had no expectations. It is a cute film, even if a bit too sappy for my taste at times.
I was worried it wouldn't meet my expectations but this movie exceeded them greatly. It wasn't just a movie for kids, but a movie that warms the cockles of the whole family's heart. It is a coming-of-age movie about growing up, forever friendships, trust, loyalty, honor, selflessness, forgiveness, compassion, doing the right thing, and family. You can't beat that!
Fantastic adaptation of all 6 books. Wonderful ensemble, ambience, and costumes. Shailene Woodley is a lovely young talent. Yeah, I'm a nerd.
