A terrific showcase for Phillips, who delivers the sort of lived-in performance that garners awards. Go to Full Review

It’s a genre piece that expertly drills into real-world issues, and shows us that the outskirts of both the country and the law is a dangerous place to be. Go to Full Review

Gabgland works best in the grey areas, where the story is not just about right or wrong. The result is a tragic thriller about community policing, identity, and the weight of history that is quite profound. Go to Full Review

The story, though, tries to pack 4+ hours of storytelling into a one hour 44 minute package and what suffers becomes obvious. Go to Full Review

feels a bit like TV's 'Dark Winds' crossed with 'Task' and a dollop of "Slow Horses,' the latter because it appears those in the Thunderstone Reservation Tribal Police are there because of personal scandals, deserved or not... Go to Full Review

t’s not just profoundly relevant; it’s also an ideal showcase for an actor whose immense talent has gone woefully untapped for too long. You might even go so far as to label it — dare I say — a Diamond in the rough. Go to Full Review

A D @durden 2d Not what I was expecting from what was advertised. Very slow and depressing movie the ending was ridiculous. No justice for anyone really See more LISA V @Lizzy838 5d I found this movie uninspiring. Dark. It made me question why one would want to watch something like this. Junkies on the reservation. Sound familiar? It should. Dark Winds without the emotional clout. See more James W @James5353 5d Excellent performance by Phillips. Definitely NOT a mystery in any sense. Decent story but slow pace. Clunky ending. See more Teresa B @RT89024873 6d It took me a day to write this because I had to let this powerful movie work its way through my mind over & over. The story is complex & layered but also as simple & old as the human emotions of connection & love. Lou Diamond Phillips & the entire cast brings these emotions to life in front of us in ways that are unforgettable. Gangland deserves all the acclaim it is receiving and more. Lou's in-your-face portrayal of Teddy will stay in my mind for a long time. See more Andrew L @Andy87 6d Gangland is an outstanding crime drama with strong performances across the board. Elisha Pratt delivers a true breakout performance as Richie, bringing depth and authenticity to the character that makes him impossible to take your eyes off of. He doesn’t just play the role—he makes Richie feel like a real person with layers and emotion. Lane Factor also turns in an excellent performance and has great chemistry with the rest of the cast. As a car enthusiast, I also have to mention Richie’s war pony, a 1977 Chevrolet Malibu Classic. It was the perfect choice for the character and fit the gritty atmosphere of the film beautifully, almost becoming a character of its own. Great acting, memorable characters, and attention to detail make Gangland a movie that’s well worth watching. I can’t wait to see what Elisha Pratt does next See more Caz R @cazroswell Jul 10 Gangland is more than a crime thriller—it's a powerful, emotionally gripping story that stays with you long after the credits roll. Lou Diamond Phillips delivers a career-best performance, bringing incredible depth, vulnerability, and strength to a character fighting for redemption in a world defined by violence and loyalty. Every moment feels authentic, with intense action balanced by genuine emotion. What makes this film truly stand out is its relevance, exploring the devastating impact of gangs, family, and the choices that shape our lives without ever glorifying the violence. The supporting cast is outstanding, the direction keeps the tension high, and the emotional payoff is unforgettable. Gangland isn't just entertaining—it's meaningful, thought-provoking, and deeply human. This is one of those rare films that combines edge-of-your-seat suspense with a heartfelt message, making it one of the best crime dramas I've seen in years. Highly recommended.
