See more Maddie P. @Moonwatcher May 20 The reason why I am putting this movie 3 1/2 stars is because I like give some of the parts that we showed more of these monster characters more than a human characters is such as sloppy but I wish they kept the original idea like from the first movie from the first one the destroyer of tease, the invisible boy gonna be the main villain and also the book of the other characters inside eventually escape the book but I will also wish that this movie was a little more different how they did the Halloween setting. but also my second reason if I had to choose and make a second film was that it took place in Holland and all the original characters and some new characters showed up to help Stein with his monster creatures I would also like to see more of the different books from the creatures of like deep trouble, the revenge of the night of the living dummy and the last one about the cat and all the wish like that but I wish it was like that See more Charles T. @CharlesGaming1000 Apr 15 did everything the first movie did just a bit dumber like all sequels Still watched it when I was very young though, which is why I fucking love it See more Melanie D @PPSS2023 Jan 14 Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween sadly just doesn't land as well as the previous movie. It also has practically no connection to it either, expect from a passing reference. The only returning characters/actors are Jack Black as R.L Stine(And he gets a very small amount of screen time, and isn't even relevant to the plot) and Slappy the Dummy as the villain. The other characters and setting are completely new, and theses characters don't have the same charm as the originals. This is also clearly directed at a younger audience despite having the same rating, and a lot of the creepy feeling of the original is gone, and a lot isn't even based on the books.
