10/27/2012 Understandably grim documentary on the liberation of the Auschwitz death camp with comments from the last surviving cameraman in the Red Army who took much of the film footage. See more 01/28/2010 I've seen about a billion Holocaust documentaries by now, but no matter how many I see, I still am stunned by the reality of it. It's as if my brain almost can't register it as real, the whole thing is so horrible and enormous and impossible. This is one of the more graphic and unflinching ones I've seen, with significant focus on the physical abuses suffered by the prisoners. The autopsy footage is particularly upsetting. See more 06/08/2008 The footage is horrific...the documentary is more visual than anything else, but seeing the sheer horror and magnitude of the Auschwitz camps, which reached far wider than most textbooks ever reveal, is something none should ever forget.
