Movie Info

Bollywood director Reema Kagti's whimsical, ensemble-driven romantic comedy Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. unfolds on a bright pink tour bus, where six couples - each hailing from a different Indian community - struggle with various relational complications. Bunty (Vikram Chatwal), an Indian man based in the United States, ostensibly celebrates his nuptials with Madhu (Sandhya Mridul), a woman on the internet - while quietly nurturing his own closeted homosexuality. Aspi (Abhay Deoi) and Zara (Minissha Lamba) - sweethearts since early childhood - find their relationship strained when Zara catches Aspi slipping out on undisclosed errands late at night - little realizing that these missions have a legitimate purpose, tied to a wild secret they share. Second-time marrieds Oscar (Boman Irani) and Naheed (Shabana Azmi) enjoy a tranquil and harmonious relationship but face objections from the daughter Oscar had with his first wife. Quiet and introverted Vicky (Karran Khanna) is driven around the bend by garrulous wife Pinky (Ameesha Patel). Groom Hitesh (Ranvir Shorey) just wants to experience physical intimacy with new wife Shilpa (Dia Mirza) - but every time he tries to initiate, she locks herself in the bathroom. And Partho (Kay Kay Menon) - typically reserved, quiet and conservative - is completely thrown by his wife Milly's (Raima Sen) "party girl" side, which emerges for the first time in their relationship. Kagti spends the narrative cross-cutting between stories, as each couple attempts to stake out a happy and satisfying resolution. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi

I won't be surprised if this small film proves to be 2007's first sleeper hit.
