Controversial, horrific, I Spit On Your Grave is one of the few films that is actually better than the original and challenges you to look within yourself.

While I Spit on Your Grave is very aware of how men relate to each other, however, it has virtually nothing to say about how women interact. Its vision of female and, indeed, feminist empowerment, is entirely individual.

I advise you avoid the film like the plague.

As dubious as the original, though easier to watch in several ways.

Mostly well made, with solid performances, but there's very little that's fresh or original about this remake.

The sexual violence caused the British Board Of Film Classification to demand 43 seconds of cuts. A shame they didn't cut the rest.
