In a future where time is money and the wealthy can live forever, Will Salas (Justin Timberlake) is a poor man who rarely has more than a day's worth of life on his time clock. When he saves Henry Hamilton (Matt Bomer) from time thieves, Will receives the gift of a century. However, such a large transaction attracts the attention of the authorities, and when Will is falsely accused of murder, he must go on the run, taking the daughter (Amanda Seyfried) of an incredibly wealthy man with him.

The overall concept of the film is interesting as time is literally money. A bit different from other dystopian sci-fi films as there is no apocalypse, no main tyrant (apart from the system itself), and more of a minimalist vibe compared to the other flashy futuristic sci-fi films present today. I love the idea and emotion present throughout the film makes you think about the links to our society.

I dont care what the reviews say, this movie is one of my favorites. Original concept, excellant acting, Cillian Murphy, Justin Timberlake...can't miss. When I run out of things to watch this is a go to. Trust me.

I simply can’t understand Rotten Tomatoes subpar review. This movie has a lot more meaning than simply time being used for currency. I think the movie is terrific.

Ist natürlich Geschmacksache aber ich habe den Film schon sehr oft geguckt und er gefällt mir immer wieder aufs Neue. Verstehe garnicht warum der so schlechte Bewertungen hat. Gefällt mir total und das ist ja die Hauptsache.
