In this animated film, Katy, a mother butterfly, has two caterpillar children, Kiki and Koko, who can't wait to grow up and become butterflies. One night, the kids sneak out to flying school. They soon find themselves fleeing a hungry bat who wants to cook them up for supper and a singing hawk that parades around in a leather jacket. Then comes a tough trio of aliens and the queen of an ant colony. Such adventures begin to convince the adult-wannabes that growing up is harder than it looks.
